Contest: Procedural Volumetrics - Objects That Don't Exist

BlendMaster writes:

Hey Everyone! I wanted to share with you my new contest. The topic chosen for this month was, procedural volumetrics, objects that don't exist. The idea is to create a render using only volumetrics in blender. There should be no solid objects in your scene. You could take this topic and go in many different directions. For example, you could try to create something realistic like clouds, or you could create something completely abstract. The one other rule is that this is a procedural competition. All textures should be created procedurally. The only image texture that can be used is an HDR for lighting.

Specific rules and guidelines for the contest can be found on my website here.

All submissions are due prior to August 26th, 2018. The winner will be announced on August 30th, 2018, after four days of community voting.

Since these contests are just for fun and learning, the winner of the contest, if they would like, can have a time-lapse video, breakdown video, or step-by-step process of the creation of their final image featured on my website until the end of the next contest. So happy blending everyone!

I've been using Blender for quite a while now. I love Blender and its my passion, that is why I try to share everything I know about it with you guys. There is so much that Blender can do. It is not just a tool for 3D modelling, it can be used for photo editing, animating, and creating games as well. Over the years, I have explored Blender's capabilities and pushed them to the limit, and now I'm here to share those tricks with you. ;)
