In my last blog post I introduced the importance of better understanding color management when working in a CG pipeline. The post followed a series of enlightening discussions I'd had with Troy Sobotka, creator of the Filmic color space recently added in Blender 2.79.
In my follow up I continue the color management discussion by laying out a strategy for bringing in the best possible photographic or video assets into Blender's VFX pipeline when shooting with a consumer DSLR.
In upcoming posts I'll share how to ensure the output of your camera matches the scene referred color space calculated within blender to create seamless CG integration through good color management practice rather than just eyeballing the result.
