8 Weeks with Blender: Summing Up

Ricky Grove looks back on his 8-week experience with Blender.

Ricky writes:

It’s been a real journey for me with Blender. I have so many ideas for projects and creations that I am loathe to move on to another application. But, in the end, isn’t this the real acid test for a tool? That it inspires you to want to create?

This is what Blender and it’s remarkable community have done: They’ve created an application that helps and inspires you to create things from your imagination.

And I think that is a remarkable accomplishment.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Community Lead at n8n.
