Awesome textures, just bout the pack! Thanks for the sale and all, but I am really disappointed with how your providing them. Basically after purchase (which requires paypal, also bad) I got the confirmation email with the link… to each individual texture! O and you can only have a couple downloading at once, so I have to sit here and tediously download the textures… WTF! It should be a single freaking zip file… The files are so large too it amplifies the problem!
Hey, Robert. Thanks for that. There just can’t be one file for all, imagine having to download 70gb in a single ZIP. I haven’t seen that before. The textures can’t be lighter though.. We are talking about TIFF files at 16-bit, they are compressed but still.. The sizes are 8, 16 or even 32k. So, hope you understand. Thanks.
Without knowing the details of your web platform, I thought I’d let you know that It is possible to stream a zip file on the fly using Linux. As you fairly point out though, with a collection of files in the gigabyte range this may not be the most efficient method.
