Remington Graphics gives a quick update of some of the recent changes in Eevee. The video is a bit messy, but the story is good :)

The biggest thing im waiting for with Eevee is the texture bakes to make it useable with other software like UE4/Unity/Cryengine ext. the Render options to be implimented (that way i don't need to use UE4/Marmoset to render) and reimpliment Mesh layers (its gone and it kind of kills my workflow)
Hi all. Since blender several release I notice that the lwo objects are not supported. You import and you see nothing in the viewport. Could you update that in the 2.79 relase? Thx.
@Salia:
Hi and thank you for your message.
Looks like you would like to report a bug in Blender. Please use the "Help" menu in Blender and choose "Report a bug" in order to do this. Your request will probably be overseen here. Furthermore, you might have a special .lwo-file which may be corrupt, therefore you should attach it in your bug report as well. Thanks.
Was the idea for Eevee inspired by Pixar's open-source Universal Scene Developer that was released a few years ago? I was just reading about that yesterday.
