With the Blender Game engine probably being phased out in the not too distant future, an alternative game making experience is needed in Blender. Once again (but really for the first time), I come to the rescue and present an unoriginal, yet mind-altering game of agility, wits and literally unending fun, all based in Blender's Node Editor...

The game engine is not being phased out*
I have just invested over 10 months of my time learning the bge (not a lot of spare time). It is a very inspiring and quite versatile tool set. Since learning, I now have three projects that are in the pipeline and yet I keep hearing that bge will get canned in 2.8. I am just really hoping that this is not the case... anyone seeing where they are keeping it but not putting programming time in on it? I would be okay of it were put out of the spot light and brought back into focus late (essentially keeping it and developing it more late on).
Ton hasn't decided what to do yet.
Currently there is:
UPBGE, Armoury, Blend4Web
UPBGE is most likely going to take over current BGE using the new viewport, unless armoury goes open source.
Nobody is stopping you from staying with 2.7 to complete your game projects!
Eitherway, whether you realize it or not, you have developed a skill set and process around developing games which will make transition to any engine a lot easier as you know how to get started.
Node Pong is a CLASSIC idea on a classic idea!! (This probably rings true for all of us who were around when the original dropped.) Great work!
I never understood why Blender tries to be a Game Engine, a Video Editor and a Compositing Software while being a really good 3d program.
