So, yes.
I started migrating to Blender. Been thinking about it for a looooong time. As I am a firm advocate of project based learning, i just picked the first fancy interior scene I could find.
The Corvette Diner caught my eye due to it's intense 50's (or something) feeling. Bright indirect light and glossy surfaces were ideal for a tricky(?) interior project. Note that exact replication was not my goal, but the result is quite close.
It took me a day to model, sculpt and arrange, and a dozen more hours tweaking materials and lights to get to a believable result.
Overall, I'm quite happy with how Blender fit my workflow, and Cycles, although slow in my rig, delivered.
Enjoy!

Nice work, I like it too much.
Holy cow this is excellent work!! (And welcome to the B3D family!)
Beautiful. In this case I actually think the lighting in the raw renders looks more realistic for that type of environment. I would have gone for something in between the raw and final.
