A new version of the Animation Nodes (AN) addon is out! For those how don't know what AN is, it is a node based visual scripting system designed for motion graphics in Blender.
For version 1.6 we implemented many new features and improved old ones in many different areas of the addon.
Most notably are some UX improvements, animation baking and enhanced tools for developers. Furthermore there are many new nodes to play with, but also ways to reduce the amount of nodes needed for certain effects.

- Download (Use the "Download ZIP" button; make sure that you uninstall old versions before the installing AN v1.6)
You can ask questions on blender.stackexchange.com using the animation-nodes tag or in the BlenderArtists thread of the addon: http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?350296-Addon-Animation-Nodes
I you find bugs, please report them here.
The manual still doesn't contain a lot of information, but I suggest you check out the external links at the bottom anyway.

Animation Nodes is one of the most incredible add-ons available for Blender, imho. It does have a steep learning curve, but the things you can achieve, once you get the hang of it, are absolutely amazing. And truly incredible that it is offered for free. I've done a few things with Animation Nodes that would have been very tedious to do otherwise or for which I would have to buy an add-on.
Can't thank you enough, Jacques Lucke.
I hope you keep developing a long time.
A deep bow and cheer to you, sir!
My thoughts exactly. I stopped everything and installed this new version immediately in case I forgot!
Thank you Jacques.
Great release!
Congratulations!
I'm getting an error message when I try to enable it.

This is not the best place to do bug reports. Please do them on github:

However, did you install Animation Nodes before?
Maybe you have to remove the old installation of the addon completely before installing the new version.
I just had to retry it apparently, for some reason Blender wasn't activating addons (I had tried to install 2, not at the exact same time however) And now both of them work. Both addons I had to remove a previous version, and delete the old, which I had done. I don't quite know the cause of the problem but maybe Blender needed to clear its cache or something.
