I think it's the best competition in the Blender community :) Go and have fun!

As the northern parts of the world start to get colder, and the days get shorter, we all wait in expectation for the BlenderGuru Christmas competition. This competition generally attracts a lot of attention from the Blender community, and I am excited to watch a lot of WIP threads on BlenderArtists and to see a lot of great entries in the coming weeks.

"It’s that time of year again…
2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 – and now, 2015. This is the 5th annual Blender Guru Christmas Comp :)
Theme
The theme is quite simply, Christmas. So make an image that relates to that in some way.
And in spirit of giving, I’m throwing in the Pro Lighting: Skies Ultimate as a prize for the winner – if you already own it, you can choose another item from the store. Plus, $500 given to the charity of your choice!"

One thing, because I don't get it. Why You always place a prize for charity? I mean cash price and only for charity, not for example also for winner of the competition.
500$ is to low to help someone, any charity foundations have enough participants.
And for winner of the competition 500$ is a very good money to upgrade their PC, to make better ART.
Really don't get it.
Anyway, best wishes with the competition.
