John Mervin is working on a short film in Blender (keep an eye on his YouTube channel). Today, he talks about one specific scene where he uses Dynamic Paint. He applies a trick to quickly increase the rendering quality.

You’ve all had that moment
You have a shot you need to make, you can see its glorious result in your head, but you don’t know how to achieve it. A few months ago I had one of those moments.
This isn’t so much a tutorial, as it is a mindset. If you limit yourself to a by-the-book workflow you miss out on so many opportunities!
Some of you may remember this shot from a blog post I did a while ago, But lets be real and frank, nobody reads anymore! So, for your viewing pleasure, here is a video-tized version of that post.

This shot reminds me of the incredible Animation of a blind girl and her dog "Out Of Sight" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qCbiCxBd2M

Sorry, but didn't find 'Thinking Outside the Box' or 'Unconventional Ways' in this video.
Only found that you learned how to cheat in 3D.
When you overshoot with your claims you look like an attention seeker or a show of, just letting you know.
Thanks for your feedback! I'm sorry that you found this video unsatisfactory. What would have made it better? Perhaps a few more examples?
