Blender used for the Crownstone Kickstarter video

I don't post many crowdfunding stories here (and believe me - I get a LOT!), but this one caught my eye. The CG looks nice, I actually rather like the idea of this product, and: it's Dutch! With that combination, I can't refuse :)

Hi Everyone! I'm a Dutch Blender user since 2.63, when I made the switch from 3DS Max.

Let me first say that I'm writing this post here to show how Blender has performed and what it did for us instead of a promotion for our kickstarter.

Over the last few months I've helped out my colleagues at DoBots to make convincing 3D images of their concepts to show on the promotion site crownstone.rocks. This was received very well, and they asked me to make animations and take care of the kickstarter pitch video. Blender was used for all of the editing and all of the 3D art. You can see the result here on Kickstarter.

As some of you may notice, the lounge area is of course from Andrew Price's awesome Architecture Academy. I wish I had the time to make my own lounge area based on his lessons but unfortunately that was not possible. I can recommend this course to anyone!

If people are interested in a making of of these scenes, the pitch video or the models I'd be happy to see what we can do!

Cheers!
