this is awesome. but no combining it with boids particles?
You certainly could! Perhaps for making some soldiers run around instead of being fixed in place.

would be cool if we could have them using a walkcycle while running, and then some fighting animations and finally a dieing animation. but i fear that's not possible with the boids :)

Boid particles are what I briefly mention in the beginning of the video. Basically it's like an "individual" particle simulator (a crowd simulator) it's a bit limited, but it can do some interesting things.
