  1. been able to do it in blender and alone is a great achievement, i think you are ready to take on your own projects and present new ideas
i will look forward for that
    salam

  2. Hmmm. I don't get why someone would simply copy the exact same story, almost shot for shot? Did he think no one would notice? The original was done by a company here in Portland called House Special. They are the former Laika House (commercial division of Laika).

    Look here: https://vimeo.com/105788896

    • mmmm did you even read what he said or not?
"it was an individual training workshop inspired by the awesome short film "A Tale of Momentum & Inertia""
the different is instead of having so many artiest "modelers, textures, riggers, animators and compositors". (do check their credit), he did it in his own!
      well done to him

      • I think the point is Anouar said "inspired by" but it's a shot for shot copy of the original. It's the 3D equivalent of tracing someone else's artwork and saying "Look what I did. It was inspired by XXX"...

Saying that though, looks quite good, but obviously it's going to be compared to the original, which is substantially better...

  3. hey guys,
first i want to thank blendernation for sharing my work and to thank everyone who watched and took time to comment it or criticise it
2nd i want to say that i never said it was an original idea.. i did even put the link of the original video in my video so people can watch it
i did this video only as a training workshop it wasn't my goal to came up with a new idea but when i first saw A Tale of Momentum & Inertia i was like "can i make it on my own using blender?" so it was kind of a challenge to me to try to copy the original one by my own
i know it definitely looks better then mine ...but i did it alone so i think it wasn't so bad after all

    • Definitely quite an achievement you've accomplished, but I think it could have helped to explain what you were doing a bit better in the description, just like you have now. Well done, good work.

    • what you done is like what every body dose after watching a tutorial by trying to achieve a simile result except you didn't know how they did it and there process. so i thing you have done a good job here, Now am interested to see your own work which i think will be great.
      good luck

  4. Upon watching this and the original twice I have to say this is really nicely done. Of course, the original is superior in technical terms, but I would say that Anouar's animation is nearly as entertaining, and in some aspects I found it even more interesting than the original.
All in all, excellent work. Keep it up!
