Model download: Mario!

I recently finished making a model and rig of Mario (complete with textures) and I have made it available on blend swap! This started out as a way for me to explore new techniques and try some new skills but eventually I thought it would be cool to share this. I figured it would be a good way to give back to the community in addition to getting some feedback and suggestions. There are a bunch of cool things added to the rig to give you great control over Mario, its ready for use in Cycles, and you can animate with it right now! All I ask is that you give me credit for the model, textures and rig in whatever medium you use it in.

I plan on using this for another project I got coming up but I wanted to share this right away and see what everyone thought. Check out the blend swap page to download it and read more about the rig. I also made a tutorial on youtube that goes into what is included in the blend file and how to use the rig so you can use it ASAP. If enough people like it I will continue to make updates to it, so feel free to make suggestions or ask for certain features on the blend swap page, or the youtube comments. Have fun animating!

I was a bit worried about legal issues with this file. Nicholas answered:

Yes this is legal so long as the content creator only does this for non commercial purposes. I have stressed this in the youtube video and I recently changed the license to CC BY NC on Blend Swap, noted this in the comments and blend file description to further emphasize this. I wanted to do this so new blender uses could download a nice detailed rig and model, explore it, and for the blender community to have some fun with it.
