The Blender Market just announced the first ever Blender add-on contest.

Anyone that spends a significant of time working in Blender will find areas that could be better, tools that could be more efficient, or workflows that should be more streamlined. These pain-points are the perfect place for add-ons be introduced. Which is why we are announcing our first Blender Add-on contest. The goal of this contest is to spur Blender add-on development and to encourage more people to get involved, become coders, and start making their own tools.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Community Lead at n8n.
