Racoon Media has published a nifty rigged cartoon car model, and describes the creation proces in detail.
This is my first ever rig.Its a very simple but functional one.
The wheels spin automatically in the direction of motion when the rig-cage on layer to is moved on its X axis. The steering wheel and front wheels can turn by using the steering controller on layer 3Also the doors, front trunk and motor trunk can open can be animated with the controller on layer 3Transparent windows and a basic interior with dashboard finishes it. There is a simple odometer and a navigation screen although non functional yet.
All the items are in different layers to better manage it all.
The car model itself is on layer 1, the rig on layer 2 and the rig controllers on layer 3.Have fun and feel free to give positive feedback :) Check out the devblog about this car on my website.
