Light BWK and Lee Posey have launched a new Blender FAQ in an effort to make it easier for new users to pick up Blender.
Light BWK writes:
Recent events have created a surge in interest to Blender. New Blender users are at an all time high. Lee Posey and myself both experienced the amount of new users complaining how hard is it to understand Blender on non Blender forums. We dived into other software to understand their plight. From that experiment (also for BEER development) we saw where new Blender users stumbled. So in 12 hours of work and planning, we created Blender FAQ to guide new users to understand Blender with the least amount of time and effort. We love to teach using "how to fish" method (all our courses use the same method). 2 weeks to master the basics, that is our guesstimate. It is our hope that new Blender users can master the basics by teaching themselves Blender with bare minimal guide.

Great FAQ! Would be nice to have an index at the top so it's easier to find exactly what you're looking for.
Also, does the font really have to be so big?
Thanks Greg. Will try that.
Font size flows with screen width with that theme. But that is the max size it can go. XD
Seriously though, that font is a bit large. Feels like I've loaded a mobile version. Though that doesn't take away from the obvious effort you've put into the faq.
LOL. For Blender beginners, the large font means they can see less. Hence can focus learning on 1 tiny part at a time. ; )
I'm not sure you realize how large it is, do you have a small screen?
Here's a screenshot from my 1920x1200 screen: http://i.imgur.com/rGFobEV.png
And here I've set it to 67% zoom, which I think is comfortable: http://i.imgur.com/nqcXN9J.png
Most folks recommend a font size of roughly 16px (which is usually 1em).
That's the same size I'm seeing from here. Remember, it is a wp.com website, not a self hosted site. Cannot do CSS stuff there.
"Transform in an axis: G/S/R > X/Y/Z > number
example: translate 2 unit up the Z axis, G>Z>2"
All the command lists in this section should really include 'Enter' on the end of the command list, otherwise the [new] user will be stuck wondering why they can't do anything else!
Will fix that. Thanks.
