This pinning add-on by Morshidul Chowdhury allows you to dynamically create buttons for simple operations in your 3D view. It's not a full macro recorder yet, but Morshidul is already considering that functionality.
This addon lets you pin buttons or menu from blender’s UI directly into 3D View for quick and easy access. The pins can either be set to take new user input or take last used parameters. Example: You can bevel an edge with a value of 0.1 and 0.2 then pin these actions. Next time, you only need to click the respective pins to bevel any other edge with those values.Features:
Toggle on/off pins.
Able to pin buttons (operators) that are native to blender or from a different addon (cross compatible).
Preset system to categorize different pins and switch between them with hotkeys.
Automatic save and loading of pins during between sessions.

Nice! Do you know how long I've been waiting for this sort of feature? :D
I've got a little list of bookmarked pages with Blender Market. Now this page included. I've got some shopping to do soon.
And kudos for the consideration towards macro functionality!
Oh! When you do' be sure to start your shopping spree with my Blender Market affiliate link :)

Ah, thanks for reminding me! Bookmarked and noted. ;)
Damn! It's features like these that should have been considered for addition in Blender instead of changing the whole UI as some people have loudly stated.
Kudos to Morshidul for making this addon. It's very useful for both beginners and veterans.
If we'd have drag-and-drop/draggable pop-ups of nearly any feature someday (subcontexts, menus, modifiers, etc.), it'd greatly relieve some of the UI isues. Customized UIs similar to how ZBrush allows has been something I for one have long hoped for in Blender since Blender 2.5x.
This add-on is already useful, but also so promising towards that regard of customization. Maybe someday this add-on can be developed closer to the point of allowing nearly any part of Blender to being tackable and dockable in the viewport, with more time and support.
If I could someday just snap a few Modifiers, the Material subcontext, and some Toolbar menu items, and tack/dock them wherever I please within the viewport, that'd be amazing.
Though, still, the UI will eventually need a redesign (or, at least, a structural refinement), even with such power of customization. The more (bigger) features we add to Blender over time, the more you quickly run out of real estate (a default spot for new menus), no matter how Blender's customized.
What really is missing is easily customize tool bars like all other apps do.
That, too.
