I'm giving this short film by students of Middlebury College a standing ovation - both the story and its execution are exemplary!
Daniel Houghton writes:
I just finished directing a short film call "11 Paper Place."
It's a love story about two 8.5 x 11 sheets of paper that magically transform into paper people when they are spit out of a malfunctioning printer into a recycling bin.
A team of Middlebury College undergrads worked on the film with me for about a year. We wrapped production this spring and we're excited to share it.
All pre-production and production were done in Blender.

All around excellent! I imagine that'll do really well in festivals! Congrats to all involved!
Loved that!
Simply amazing, beautiful and moving.
fine-paper :)
I love pocket universe stories. Have to give your paper an A+!!!
Thank you!! for your comment and for the paper based pun.
Sorry for not commenting. I was over at 'how to make rocks'.
!!
Nice! A completely original apocalyptic paper story.
I just hope the Middlebury team re-render it in A4 for the European market...
Ha!
Absolutely beautiful! Gorgeous work!
Super good!
Fantastic.
Really like the style! Kinda low-poly look because of the folded paper style. Very good! Hope it doesn't put people off recycling though! lol
