The DarkWing Rigging Project

Angel Roldan teaches us how to create a leg rig and set up a walk cycle. You can download the robot model to get started.

I have just uploaded a video tutorial series called "The DarkWing Rigging Project" to my YouTube channel. The 5-part tutorial series shows you how to rig a Mech, that has a more complex leg setup, using Blender 2.7.Also, I'm providing the model I created and used in the video for FREE on blendswap.com.

This is the DarkWing Mech and I made is specifically for use with the tutorial series. I decided to make it available as a free download so you can work through the tutorial using the same model that I use. That way you can focus on the rigging and not worry about the modeling! So enjoy!

There are several goals for this project, including:

• Using the Darkwing Mech, we will create an armature
• then we'll Rig the mech using Inverse Kinematics
• after that, we'll Create a Pose Library and store some poses
• then we'll create a simple walk cycle
