I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.

  1. There's something strange with 2.71. Last week I was exporting objects with 1.5 to 1.8 million vertices just fine. This week, it struggles with 125 thousand vertices. Other than a basic cube with 330,000 vertices I successfully exported, it does not export anything bigger than 126,000 vertices, and if using just a cube, 300 thousand something vertices seems to be the limit. Was there an automatic update that went wrong? Is there someplace I can upload my .blend so that the Blender staff can review why there is an error?
