VSE: Audio Mixdown

0

Learn how to 'render' separate audio strips in the Video Sequence Editor into one audio file using the 'mixdown' feature.

The Blender Bro writes:

Do you ever wonder what the button that says "Audio" in the Render tab does. Well, I will explain what it is & what it does. In this quicktip, or video tutorial (due to the length of the video), I will explain what Audio Mixdown is, how it is useful when using the video sequence editor in Blender, & I will give you an example file to demonstrate the usage of audio mixdown along with combining it with your image sequence, and then rendering the whole thing out into a movie file. The footage and audio files that was used in this tutorial was from Tears of Steel.

I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I founded BlenderNation in 2006 and have been editing it every single day since then ;-) I also run the Blender Artists forum and I'm Head of Community at Sketchfab.
