Craig Jones uses Blender to draw a spaceship. Pretty cool!

Nicely done! It's nice to see the painting tools demonstrated. I bet we'll have even more possibility with the upcoming additions to the Texture Paint tools, being diligently developed by Psi-Fi, but it's nice to see some of what can be done with the present tools already available--just add creative thinking!
I think the Texture Painting tools could become one of the strongest reasons why many people in the future could turn to including Blender in their workflow. At least for me, as a 3D modeler more focused on game development, it is something to which I certainly look forward.
It'll be nice to 3D-model general forms, 3D-sculpt the body work, and then nearly completely 2D/3D-texture models--all within the same tight-knit (and accessible) application. Once Blender has a more fully-developed set of Texture Painting tools, look out!
But I think it's doubly-great to have shown what people can already do with the current tools, with just some added imagination and clever use of what's already available. It serves as more inspiration for people using Blender now and as more motivation for Blender's development towards tools of this aspect.
Nice work, Craig!
Indeed. I love Psi-Fi's tool.
@ Brian Lockett - I agree with you. I'm also using Blender for Game making and definitely needs better painting tools. I can't wait to see migrated into the trunk the excellent work of Psi-Fi. Also I hope to see in one day a layered painting system.
We need more inspiring works like this! Keep up the good work!
