  1. Thats awesome! Does anybody know if He made the motion-grafics part in blender? Or if there is a tutorial for doing stuff like that in blender?

    • Yes, motion-design bits in this showreel are also done in blender. In fact, some time ago i discovered that blender is realy suitable for neat motion design and have much greater flexibility that 2,5D editors, like After Effects. For example look at the animation abilities, node editor, procedural textures (and now - realy cool VFX features). Blender only has one tiny bottleneck - interactivity. I have to make a countless lowres previews to see how everything looks in original motion speed. But Blender team is constantly improving workflow speed, and it's great!

        Funny that you mention that Blender "is realy suitable for neat motion design and have much greater flexibility that 2,5D editors". I also found out by experience that Blender is a WHOLE lot better in adding animated 3D objects to live footage than something like After Effects. After I spent a few days getting seriously frustrated trying to animate an opening lid on a wooden box in AE (never got the perspective even remotely correct!) I figured that I better just rebuild it in proper 3D in Blender and key that into the footage. That took me only three hours, was a lot of fun and the result was great. As indeed Blender is getting ever more brilliant!

    • Wow, that is really surprising. :)) Thank for good word in my language.

      For ground explode I used test build with Bullet integration, then I baked all the animation and finished this scene in official build. I must say - that was an interesting expirience.

    Yep, cool stuff! :) I've like almost everything! It's nice to know that Blender is becoming more respectful in Russia than it was some years ago.
