I so love having new toys to play with!
woow! droool.. oh wait: "failed to create offscreen buffer" guess I can't show you that cycles works!
anyways:
CONGRATS BLENDER TEAM! :)
Woot!
Renders a black screen ... "Failed loading CUDA kernel [snip] kernel_sm_21.cubin"
Pulled the file over from the 2.61 beta and it works fine.
... that's the win32 build, and replacing the CUDA kernel with the kernel from 2.61 beta resolved the issue. Couldn't edit my first comment.
vista 64 bit - 64 bit version is not working i can click nothing all interface buttons and menus are empty
I can't use this version's Cycles with my 8800GT GPU, The previous versions worked just fine for me. This one gives me an error message saying I need a card with SM 1.3 .
I don't understand but I keep getting problems with the downloaded ziip or executable. I downloaded the Win32.exe and it told me there was a problem with the integrity of the package. Why am I having these problems?!
I finally got it working! I downloaded 2.61RC from work and then transferred it to my home PC via Wuala. I just don't understand why my ISP is mutilating the file downloads from the Blender website.
I don't know about everyone else but blender seems pretty broken right now. I getting several new problems and crashes that I didn't have 2 days ago.
When installing it, it opens as a Blender 2.60a-rc installer, is it normal ?
just can't wait the new release!!
Having weird crashes when i play animations , any ideas? whenever i hit alt-a it just crashes for ages and occasionally stats working again and plays the 2nd half of the animation.
Then it goes back to the start and freezes.
X-mirror with proportional edit: yes, please!
Please make it work!
RC already? Great! Can't wait to try it. :-)
WOOT, WOOT, WOOT......etc.
installed the win32.exe and at least it started up and cycles seems to work. @RooL: they didn't change the version number and the splash screen it seems. But the give-away is that it includes cycles and the tracker. (Movieclip editor)
HI, for people experiencing crashes, could you please take the time to report them in the bug tracker?
http://projects.blender.org/tracker/?atid=498&group_id=9&func=browse
I would, but i checked and every build i use has the same cash. i've never crashed over the same thing over and over again before and im sure my pc can handle it, i hope to god its not some sort of software conflicting with blender or something, that kind of thing always takes a solid day or two to find a solution.
Those on Linux: do you use repository for 2.6x version of Blender? If so, what do you use?
I have updated Blender the hard way by downloading it and running it from the user directory. Blender is the only thing outside system updates and it would be nice to have it there.
If you're on Ubuntu you can type: 'sudo apt-add-repository ppa:irie/blender'
The cuda-toolkit repo is here : ppa:aaron-haviland/cuda-4.0
Nice. Thank you.
Great! Great! Great!
Thank you and congratulations Blender Team!
what build is this based off of? I have just downloaded rev 42516 and compiled yesterday. Very, Very Sweet!
Thanks for all you guys do!
