But the result isn’t so good.
I’m tryng to get the best grass that is possible inside Blender. I’ts hard.

It’s made with max. I’m trying to get the same result with blender, using yafaray or lux. The problem i found is about large areas, When the scene increases and i need a big shot Blender and Yafaray crashes. Is there something like vrayscatter in Blender?
I saw that blender 2.5x has the Instances parameter to handle with many replicas.
There is a file, about grass, made by Gabich, this guy made something similar: he makes a litle portion of grass using particles and the same technic in this Ben’s tutorial, but Gabich uses a litle portion and copy this portion using that ‘only bounds’ feature in Blender, so it could carry on with the 3d view. The problem is that he uses a small scene, just a cube and a wall.
Well, i didn’t found some good grass made in Blender, or maybe so good as that Peter’s one.
There was some old indigo grass tutorial with planes and alpha maps. The result was pretty cool but yafaray doesn’t support alpha maps. I’m going to see if lux render does.

Hallo, gutes Tutorial. Aber das Ergebnis ist nicht so gut. Ich bin tryng die beste Gras, was möglich ist in Blender zu bekommen. I'ts hart. Na ja, weißt du das berühmte Tutorial: Es http://www.peterguthrie.net/blog/tag/vrayscatter/ mit max's gemacht. Ich versuche, das gleiche Ergebnis mit Mixer zu bekommen, mit yafaray oder lux. Das Problem fand ich etwa große Flächen, wenn die Szene erhöht und ich brauche ein großes Tier Blender und Yafaray abstürzt. Gibt es so etwas wie vrayscatter in Blender? Ich sah, dass der Mixer 2.5x Instanzen Parameter, mit vielen Repliken Griff hat. Es ist eine Datei, ca. Gras, von Gabich gemacht, machte dieser Kerl etwas Ähnliches: er macht eine litle Teil des Grases mit Partikeln und die gleiche Technik in dieser Ben's Tutorial, aber Gabich verwendet eine litle Teil und kopieren diesen Teil mit, dass "nur Grenzen "-Funktion in Blender, so könnte es weiter mit der 3D-Ansicht. Das Problem ist, dass er eine kleine Szene, nur einen Würfel und eine Wand verwendet. Nun, ich habe nicht ein paar gute Gras in Blender gemacht, oder vielleicht so gut wie die des Petrus einen gefunden. Es gab einige alte Indigo Gras Tutorial mit Ebenen und Alpha-Karten. Das Ergebnis war ziemlich cool, aber yafaray unterstützt keine Alpha-Karten. Ich werde sehen, ob Lux machen tut. Einige Idee? Ben?

Terragen + XFROG, aren’t proprietary just as Vray?
I saw that this guy has used terragen for rendering the scene, just model some plants in Blender.
So, we need some tools like these found in vray and terragen. Blender could handle large scenes with lot of geometry,
Until that happens i still can’t get large areas with nice grass, only small places,
Am i wrong?
Please, somebody could show me something? I will apreciate some help.
Nun ja. Terragen + Xfrog, sind nicht nur als proprietäre Vray? Ich sah, dass dieser Kerl benutzt hat Terragen für das Rendern der Szene, nur einige Pflanzen Modell in Blender. Also brauchen wir einige Tools wie diese in Vray und Terragen gefunden. Blender könnte große Szenen mit viel Geometrie, Bis daß ich geschieht immer noch nicht großflächig mit schönen Rasen, nur kleine Orte, Bin ich falsch behandeln? Bitte, könnte jemand mir etwas zeigen? Ich werde apreciate etwas Hilfe.

I would suggest using children particles if you want to create large fields of grass. If that doesn’t help, tell me and I’ll see if I can figure something else out :)
Hallo, josiasbh! Ich würde vorschlagen, mit Kindern Teilchen, wenn Sie große Felder von Gras erstellen möchten. Wenn das nicht hilft, sag mir, und ich werde sehen, ob ich noch etwas anderes herausfinden können:)
