Seabug: Seattle's Blender User Group, October 9th Meeting

5

The Seattle Blender User Group is meeting again this Saturday.

Oscar Baechler writes:

Come down to The Art Institute of Seattle's north campus for a day of tutorials, presentations, networking and good times. Beginners and veterans of Blender are all welcome, and lessons will cover a variety of skill levels and topics. Whatever your skill level, we love adapting on the fly to help your needs!

Additionally, SeaBUG is taking requests for tutorials. If you'd like to have a specific topic covered, click "Contact the Host" and an experienced Blender user will likely be able to prepare a lesson plan in advance.

Topics and guests for Next Seabug: Saturday, October 9th

  • ZOMG Durian screening with Q&A for Nathan Vegdahl!!
  • Beginner hour, 4 PM to end! So my theory is that Seabug's current challenge is co-mingling the ninjas with the n00bs. How to adjust things so that new users aren't totally lost in 3D Expertland, and the pros don't get bored by the training wheel stuff? I'm going to try seeing if a structured timeslot can do the trick. If you're a pro and get bored hearing explanations of a vertex, you can head out early safe in the knowledge that you picked up all the cutting edge info. (or stay and mentor your very own n00b) And if you're a newbie, you can show up late and get some hands-on assistance with Blender baby steps!
  • Oscar (sort of) finished his $&#@ing turtle finally! The beta release should be available for people to play with by then!
  • Nathan shows more cool rigging stuff!!
  • More cool excitement! Not even joking!

You can RSVP here.
