Lumpie v98

My name is Oliver Jelko and I study media art at the Karlsruhe university of art and design. Lumpie was originally modelled with Maya back in winter 2008/2009, but then left behind, because I didn’t really manage to weight paint it after like 10 tries. In may 2010 I have started using Blender, where I refined the model and almost effortlessly rigged it.

From there it took me about 4 weeks to produce the film. There was a tight deadline for the project, because it was part of my prediploma on july the 1st. After slightly precomposing it in Blender, I used after effects for the compositing. I was strictly using Blender 2.5 alpha builds on linux and windows machines, except for a rapid prototype stl export, 2.49 came to play.
