Cleaning up the backlog - here's some stuff that didn't make it yet but which does deserve our attention.
Enjoy, and have a good weekend!
- Nice article on how to model a cartoon face in blender
- Precision Modelling video tutorial. Robert Burke, the Precision Modelling author has released a video tutorial series based on his acclaimed pdf.
- Bender 2.47 in a Microsoft XNA Brazillian Gaming Conference - september 20th. Details and Agenda.
- Java Classic RPG (covered earlier here). Lots of progress, they still need help with animated monsters or static 3d items, building parts.
- Blender entry nominated for the Peugeout Design Contest 2008. Pierlot Damien (17): "I was selected among the 30 finalists of the peugeot design contest 2008 and I use Blender. The name of my project is 'peugeot pure'"
- Bearubs children's cartoon series. David Lindsley: "I put together some sample images and animations up there using Blender. These are not nearly up to the level that Big Buck Bunny has shown, but could be! We are currently looking for financial backing and will be soon looking for a studio to do the animations."

Looks like the Peugeout entry link is wrong. It opened some other entry: http://www.peugeot.com/fr/design/concours-de-design/5eme-edition/les-29-finalistes.aspx?PageNumber=26 seems to be the right one.
Thanks!

I was thinking about helping JCrpg, but I dunno. I suck at animating and texturing.
hello there! Every little help is appreciated!Even if "just" a model with no anim or texture,it can be very useful, later it can be appended.the projectappreciates much even static monster models and will use them in game even before someone animates it. Cheers, lead dev of jCLASSICRPG
Congratulations to Pierlot Damien. Nice Accomplishment! I wish the best for the further competition.
I think it is really cool to have a Blender entry among the finalists.
I did an entry myself this year. Sadly it didn't make it into the final round (guess why ;-) )
Some pictures of my "Peugeot Vision" can be seen at http://www.ji-xiansheng.de/?q=content/peugeot-design-2008
Liked the animated score in "Sleepyhead" even if it is not entirely correct :-) I think some of the shadows in the sample pictures are too dark for the style, especially on the side/underside of heads. Maybe some back lighting or a different material, or simply a node-setup to lighten the shadows, would be appropriate..
