Apricot builds available to download

14

I know you are probably waiting for your Big Buck Bunny DVD or the internet release, but don't forget about the Apricot project, which is still running. If you want to take a look at some of the new tools, developed for Apricot, a few test builds are starting to appear!

Just visit graphicall.org and look for builds labeled Apricot. The list with features developed for the Apricot project, can be found here.

Have fun!

  1. @kkrawal, scroll donw and you can find windows:mingw_14904_apricot_branches or Blender-Apricot-14904 -- OSX 10.5+ for osx.
    only linux version missing...

  2. Linux version is still not available. It would be great (Remember the call for packagers) if someone could pack a working combination of crystal/CEL, b2cs and blender or publish some information on working combinations. It took me weeks to get at least the b2cs-ui working...the documentation of crystal is still far beyond the quality of the blender docs, without better documentation crystal won't be a real alternative to the blender game engine.

  3. not that I am in game design but I think this is a very exciting progress.

At my graduate school they used Blitz 3d and I think this could be very good
for them to use instead of Blitz.

I am curious if they could also work on a web based 3d content system to
show those works - similar to 2nd life.

  4. Similarly to Bob I am curious about the projection painting. That would be such a great feature. Does anyone know if the builds on graphicall have it? I downloaded the latest mac osx one and couldn't find it. Anyone have better luck?

  5. Hi
I updated OSXintel-build today, so projection-paintin´. maybe in now, but had no time to look further.
I left GE in for compares, in spite of one will use CS with this build...have fun...

well cant wait to see the game also~
(ill give another comment once i try it and try to create a game from scratch and one from past versions.
