I guess we should rename ourselves 'BlendernaZen' this week - that reflects the feeling I got when I first saw Otávio Tatasoka's entry to our 'Design the BlenderNation Header' contest. I really appreciate the tranquility of this one - I think it makes a great header (especially after the dynamic graphic of Gustav last week!). Congratulations, Otávio! Your image will be on the site until next week.
To see the new header, you may need to press SHIFT+reload in your browser to force a cache refresh.
Keep the designs coming! Just paste them under this post. Also if your header image wasn't selected this week, I may still pick it next week.

tranquility is awsome :D
good work!
I like this new way to exhibit the work of some artist.
May be a section could make a gallery of all the past banners ?
I would like to congratulate you for such a great website. I always view it every day.

Why not to push the concept further in playing at css level.
with a slimmer reflective bar it looks better I was told... so here it is:

Should me repost our header if it wasn't choosed? or you already saved all the ones you liked?
@Jean-Sébastien: no need to repost; I keep a list of the ones I want to use.
Nice work! Looks great!
hmm got a great idea.
knekke-
I like yours the best...thus far.
Care to post your materials/nodes on this?
@inazuma:
thx :D
how about the blend-file?:

No node-setups involved. Don't laugh at the UV-texture, it was intended for testing purposes...dindn't look too bad in renderings so I let it be. I rendered out passes and tweaked them a little in shake (trying to teach myself shake atm, which can handle multilayer-.exr btw)
Texture from the http://www.blendernation.com/2007/10/06/organic-shaders-workshop/ post.

@knekke:
Thanks for the blend. I will be looking at it in more detail over the weekend. It's funny, when I look at the jpg - I had a completely different take on the structure (maybe had to do with the background and contrasting - shake?). For some reason, I was getting a very silky feel from the image.
Is this contest in progress ??? - here is my entry
@zoltan: yeah, I still monitor these threads. You forgot to include a URL though!
