Richard Bensley will be giving a 4 hour introductory course to Blender in Norwich, UK, on the 14th of July.
Richard writes:
Currently I am working on a 4 hour(ish) lesson plan. I will be giving a introduction to the basics of blender, an intro to polygon modelling, and finally some animation. After that I wouldn't mind showing off some fluids, dynamics, and particles, as well as showing off some of the sculpting, compositing, video editing, and painting tools.

Is this course free or charged. When is it? Can we have some further details
Cool, but maybe a bit optimistic to teach that much of Blender in four hours? You students would have to be quick learners!
Anyway, good luck with the course.
Cheers
There wasn't really enough notice; an event on 14th July mention on 14th July here isn't going to get many takers. I would have loved to attend and might have been able to if there had been enough notice.
Good luck with such events in future, can we have a month's notice please?
Even a fortnight would be better than nothing.
@Fire Angel: the event was added to our calendar more than a week ago. On the day it's added, it will appear as a green bar on the site. As a reminder, it's re-displayed on the day of the event itself as a blue bar.
A month would be nice, but we're not always notified that long in advance..
Thanks Bart for the answer. Less than a fortnight and I wouldn't be able to attend anything unless I was extremely lucky. I wonder if word goes around to put tout such messages early if it will move people to present you with events sooner. Even being given a week's notice a lot of people would already have work or other events booked up.
