Yeah, well deserved winner! Congratulations Joel Hewett!
My personal favourite was Clean3D's so it's good to see him at second. The entries were really good this year, and it was a tough choice to vote.
Congratulation to all who made it to the first ten.
Surprisingly the results are nearly in compliance with my vote :-)
Congratulations to the top ten, and congratulations to Joel for taking the top spot! Hope you enjoy the book, Joel.
Many great results this year, congratulations to the top 10!
my personal favorite was Robert Tiess
It was hard to choose between the first 5, they were all so good.
My favorite is also Robert Tiess. :)
I liked Jesse Nelson's the best, but that's why it's a voting system.
They were all so excellent... I think I'll have to put in a miserable entry for next year, just for the pleasure of seeing my horrible model next to so many good ones! Good job everybody.
Great stuff. Very well done. Congrats around.
All Right! Way to Go Joel! This is the first time my favorite actually won!
The other ones I really liked were Jesse Nelson's and Robert Tiess'.
Great Job everyone!

I like Robert Tiess's the best; the way he showed the vehicle in action, and it pulled it off very well; I love the way the first driver is looking over his shoulder to try to catch the guy behind him. His was the only entry to really capture the full dynamic of the car and the race.
Hewitt won mostly based on his excellent bump-mapping. The car design and modeling was nothing special, and the picture didn't have anything going on, but the materials were of a very high quality.
lol, the 8th grade work is funny.
I love this one:

you clearly see what the kid likes.
Mark, nice work, glad to see those kids get introduced to 3D so early.
Cool, Kudos to Joel, one of my three choices.
Tiess and Dell'Aquila were my other votes.
Why do you vote for three candidates? It just struck me that the first prize might just be everyone's "third favorite".
The Blender F1 Challenge has always had people vote for their favorite three (with the exception being the very first Challenge). The reason is because it will discourage "vote stuffing" since you have to vote for other entries as well as yourself. It has worked so far.
Ciao for now!

voted for:
# Joel Hewett
# Jesse Nelson
# Clean3D
Robert T. came close, but as he didnt seem to have any color/spec etc. maps then, i decided to go with the three i all ready listed :) though robert's modeling and scene setup were great too! :)
sweeeeet!
Great pictures! Good work - i like it!!!
I wasn't really expecting the dustbuster to win, but hey. It does have good textures. I nearly voted for it.
I wonder if anyone was thinking of voting for me, but then didn't. Or if anyone was thinking of not voting for me, but then did (How many votes did the vast majority of people who got 23rd actually receive?)
