If you are one of those who was on the ball and jumped on the release notes and information right after the launch you might be missing some new information. Ton has updated the release notes among other things.
First, lets look at the wonderful list of contributors. If it wasn't for them we wouldn't have this excellent software. There are a few new contributors a big thanks to them.
Some new information is available on improvements made to the mesh tools. Make sure to read up on the changes located there.
Next is a list of the various new and improved changes to the animation system and to the sequencer. And for you Python coders new release logs have been created for changes made to the Python API. And some more info has been added on various other changes made to Blender. Make sure to check it all out!

Thank you for the link.
Time for some reading
I'd just like to say how amazing it is to finnally see the "Q" command being fixed.
I've destroyed so many projects by accident over the years it's not funny.
As soon as i read that i loaded up blender and pressed Q over and over and NOTHING HAPPENED!
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh wonderful.
soooo happy about that "Q" command being fixed
Not an insignificant update by any means! Look forward to reading it all shortly!
respect to all the contributers! Always wondered how many people were involved..
The new taper thingy is really cool
All of the changes i can use! Wow.. i have been waiting for that! :-)
Thanks a lot Ton... I just transfered Euro 200 to your foundation...
blengineer: you wouldn't believe the amount of crap i got for doing that! :)
A long list of contributors - thanks to all of them - great job they have done !
Truly amazing! Many thanks to everyone involved.
Great news, but and the SNAP tools?
Am I confused or the changes in the snap, gonna be implemented later?
Regards
The tris to quads conversion is really nice. Also, the new F-key face creations is so much better. Great time savers.
Harkyman,
I am sorry that you had to go through this.
Tough it out: it is an excellent change. I say that even though I know all about recovering the last session and saving incremental versions. I never had any trouble with the Qkey, but it reflected a certain state of mind that could be expressed by: "Why make something simple when it can be complicated?
Thanks again for holding your end of the Blender bargain.
Jean
I had trouble with the q key way back at 1.7-something. I mentioned it then, too. I'm happy that it was finally changed. The point is, when you really get cranking on a lot of mouse-clicking combined with keystrokes, it's not hard to accidentally end up on that q key. That change is much appreciated.
Also, some great improvements to the editing tools!
