Mal Duffin from CanDo Interactive will be hosting a weeklong course on learning the Blender Game Engine in Belfast, Northern Ireland, from the 31st of July to the 4th of August.
The course is part of the Trans 2006 festival. The website describes it as:
The course will begin with basic level design skills, using an easy to use game editor to teach the concepts of both level design and factors affecting it (time limits, pickups, obstacles). During the course, the Blender Package will be used to both create a more complex 3D environment and also to create an interactive game within that environment. Higher level concepts such as theming and storylines will then be addressed, with the students having teamed up and created a fully working game prototype by the end of the week.
Full information on the festival and registration info is available on the Trans 2006 website.
