Stonehenge – a reconstruction

This movie is the first part of a series that shows circular historical buildings from all over the world. They have to be exact as possible in their shapes and dimensions to show their specific capabilities.

In the case of Stonehenge I had infos about every single stone. Their exact shape, size and position was created first in AutoCad and then transfered into Blender. The landscape came from a land surveyor. I took the file into Autodesk Revit to create the mesh – and then up to Blender as usual…

You will find lots of poor things in the movie – but its my first one and the next (about the Marmaria in Delphi) will be better – hopefully…

As an architect I am using Blender to visualize my project.

Maybe not the greatest video in terms of graphical quality, but I found that I greatly enjoyed watching it. I hope you will, too!
