ROM123 - Title sequence

3

Varg Studios from Norway made this short, but very cool title video. Great work!

Hi everyone!

My company just made a title sequence for a new Norwegian home renovation program called; ROM123.

The title-sequence is made in Blender and rendered in Cycles. The compositing was done in Nuke

  1. Looks really nice, one critique though, which I see so much in ArchViz is that the scale seems wrong... not sure if it's the extremely shallow depth of field but it seems miniature (the final shot starting around 9 sec).

    • thank you for your feedback! Yes you are right. The depth of field is to shallow in the end shot if you are going for realism. But this is a title sequence for a home renovation program and not a archviz. We were not aiming for a realistic look. It was more important to have the logo for the show pop out from the background and more readable in the end shot. That's why we decided on the shallow depth of field. :)

  2. Looks great! Nice design and music choice. I agree with COMEINANDBURN about the scale. And one more thing. When the pillows land, they don't look like eased keyframes. They stop suddenly. Something to look at for future work.
