Easy realistic dirt and grease Tutorial :D and all procedural!
the trick is to use a node that doesn't get a lot of attention, the separate HSV node, to get some cool effects out of a simple noise node.

I don't know about realistic dirt and grease. It doesn't seem to be based in any science for dirt and grease and it doesn't appear to me as them either. BUT, I can definitely see it being used for procedural galvanized metal.
well there isn't really a science, the thing that makes the effect look so interesting is that it has a mix of hard and high frequency detail and soft low frequency :D and yes it's also nice for galvanized metal
regardless of if i think it looks like dirt/grease it does have a nice effect.
