IN MOTION

A nice motion graphics exploration by Vanya Grove.

Hi everyone!

I wanted to share a motion graphics piece I recently made which uses Blender 2.72. In the video, there are number of shots that were made entirely in Blender including the kitchen transformation. I used volumetric lighting rendering in the  very last shot with the paper boat. I'm really looking forward to doing even more work/R&D with volumetric lighting and  smoke in the near future. The last six shots were done in Blender 2.72 and 2.72a. For the kitchen transformation, it was  difficult to keep the objects falling the proper way when the entire kitchen rotates and have the kitchen elements contact specific surfaces properly using rigid body dynamics. It was ultimately all about trial and error. And going back to the  settings and understanding the difference between active and passive.

I used cycles render engine for all of the renders. Even though I had to use fairly high samples, I noticed that the rendering for this version of Blender is faster. Thank you Blender developers. Enjoy!
