I have a LONG history with Blender - I wrote some of the earliest Blender tutorials, worked for Not a Number and helped run the crowdfunding campaign that open sourced Blender (the first one on the internet!). I can't speak for everyone, but my beers are always in 3d.

fun fact: in German there is a beer-based mix drink called "Radler" - you can literally translate this as "Cyclist" ;)
I liked the tips Andrew gave for how to place the fluid volume.
