Microgrants for Climate Projects

climate project 1“I just completed an animation of a bumblebee for a microgranting project. I’d love to share it with the blendernation community, and if there is interest I’d  love to share the rigs and write up a tutorial of some aspect of the production.”

I love when the bee dives into the pedal near the end. Got a good laugh out of it. Good video! Good to see a good video for a good cause.

I was thinking that maybe a tutorial about building up keyframes to make pleasing movement would be helpful, or maybe a tutorial about deciding where to put the energy into your scenes in order to get them done by deadline. Do either of these topics sounds interesting?

    Daniel

  • Bojo70

Please do them both Daniel. I liked the animation and the two topics are both very connected in a project like this. I have a had a hard time knowing where to put the most effort, but if you have a good animation structure things goes alot faster.

A+ by me! Excellently done. Would love to see some tutorials.

  • Gnaws

Excellent, Daniel!! The animation was great, the little bee had tons of “expression”. LUVED the head-first dive into the flower and when s/he flew thru the dandelion!! Wonderful flourishes.

    Looking forward to the tutes.

  • kijja

I love it,clean, simple. I like word too.

  • tonurs

Mention the climate change rubbish and you can get grants for anything. Make it cute and you can get even more.

  • JotaSolano

Was this done entirely in Blender!?…

it’s really amazing… I love how you animated the seed that becomes the organization’s logo… it looks like a flash animation… (that’s why i asked if it was entirely made in Blender)

This is the kind of style that i like the most, simple and clean, you make me want to learn how to Blend (propperly, lol).

    Keep it up!

  • banor

WOW… one of the only animations done in Blender that I can actually say “that was really good and well animated.” You are an animator, sir. Congratulations.
