By Sam Morse-Brown.
A long-running Star Wars project I started in 2018 back when I was starting out with blender, so it's nice to see how far I've come in 2 years after revisiting it!
The planet texture is entirely procedural using only noise textures. The clouds use a custom version of Nasa's 40k Blue Marble Project. The final render took just under 12 hours, with 1024 samples.

Pretty cool :)
What hardware did you render this on?
Thanks!
Hybrid rendering with a ryzen 3600 and an RTX 2070 Super. I had to use CUDA because Optix is very unoptimised for volumes and SSS. :/
I'm wondering to see if i can have acces to the file the your mustafar planet because i want to use it for a 3D scene i want to do and of course i will credit you for the planet because you made it.
