Modelling a Windmill near Derby

This is the first post of short series where I make a low poly model of a windmill between Derby and Nottingham (52.9534096,-1.3502388 I cannot recommend the nearby cafe enough!). The technique I use will be to make a relatively simple geometry then use the reference images to texture it.

In this episode I concentrate on the process of building more complicated structures using the array modifier

The next episodes will cover creating a mesh using a reference image then cloning from a perspective UV unwrapping to produce realistic materials.

The methods used here will be very similar to those used for the bulldozer example I did previously - but for which I didn't record my workflow.
