Easy Light Beams in Blender: Make Some God Rays!

1

Joseph writes:

Hey BlenderNation. In this video we share how you can create simple volumetric spotlights in Blender 3d to create a nice light ray effect. This technique is faster to render and more controllable in the vfx compositing process than the standard way of putting a cube of volumetric mist in your 3d scene. This tutorial is for Blender but the concepts can be applied to any 3d program with lights and volumetrics such as Maya, 3dsmax, Lightwave, Houdini, Cinema4d, and more. Enjoy and let us know what VFX tips you want to see next on the channel!
