After 10 month of hard work, the incredible team at the Blender Studio has done it again! Charge, their latest Open Movie, is out and free to watch for everyone.
What an amazing job by the Blender Studio crew and the developers who supported them. Another milestone! #proud #b3d

Blender's open movies often have a two-fold goal: The first is producing high quality films all while documenting the process in an open way, to allow studios and individuals to glean production knowledge and get access to assets only found in usually very protective and closed production settings. The other is to push Blender's feature set to the limit, and to act as a sort of "trial by fire" for new features, that get honed along the way by developers who have access to a demanding testing setting.
This time around, the goal was to push Eevee to the limits, as well as flesh out Geometry Nodes and the new curve-based hair system. This is all made possible thanks to Blender Studio subscriptions, so if you like the film, would like to support Blender's development and Open Movies, and want full access to all the production logs and wealth of production knowledge, think of picking up a subscription! Congratulations again to the Blender Studio team and all the developers behind this ground-breaking software on this great achievement!
