In this tutorial we'll explore how to create realtime displacement, using Geometry Nodes. This gives a fully procedural workflow, allowing for flexibility. We can also use an SVG icon, instead of text to create some cool looking results. The good thing? This works just as well in EEVEE as in Cycles!
This video is also useful to learn the basics of displacement within Geometry Nodes and how to capture attributes and use these across Blender to your benefit. Specifically extracting height data from our Geometry Nodes setup and then using this data within our Shader/Material to create some unique effects. All fully procedural ofcourse, as you'd expect from anything within Geometr Nodes!
I'll also show you how to create controls for your Geometry Nodes project, so you can control the effect WITHOUT having to be in the Geometry Nodes workspace. Very convenient if you want to tweak a render without having to switch windows constantly!
Hope you enjoy the vid!
