After struggling with the default 3D text in Blender, in the context of 3D printing, I came up with this trick.
The default text objects are a bit of a mess when you want to convert them to meshes and triangulate them.
If you use Geometry Nodes instead, you can get a lot more control and get a nicer, more consistent topology.
I'm using Blender 3.1 here to also extrude the text to make it 3D, with the new Mesh Extrude node.
