Animating Smooth Mouth Transitions

So, on request of quite a few of the mvartz subscribers, here is a new 2D face rig for smooth transitions:

In this '2D Face Rig' series, our rigs have been based on a stepped/constant interpolation. However, we like to start with animating smooth mouth transitions in Blender. Creating inbetweens for the key mouth shapes, blending them if you will.

We use Blender's modifier stack to our advantage by deforming the mesh before the projection.

To make animating easier we create common mouth shapes and add them to our pose library.
Blending between these poses will create smooth mouth transitions while animating.
