Wind Ripples Update in the Advanced Ocean Modifier

2

Modicolitor writes:

The Advanced Ocean Modifier allows to set up oceans in blender in seconds: adjust setting or add other effects like spray, loops, ripples or have objects interact with the ocean to generate waves, foam or even float.

With the latest update the addon got a new special feature: wind ripples! Have you ever noticed how the water surface ripples when wind is blowing above it. Due to turbulences, this happens typically in morphing patches. This causes the surface appear to have irregular roughness and creates nice sparkles in the sun. The wind ripple feature is intended for quiet waters like lakes, rivers, but also swimming pools or fountains.
