Creating Object on Water Reflection and Ripple effects

HI,

I think this tutorial focus on getting a good "rendered" results of water reflection with ripple effect of an object and an image plane .. something that I have not found anyone else had done. Most tutorial then to focus using the HDRI environment to demonstrate this with dynamic paint and wave modifier.

Note that that my intent was to see if EeVee can give my expected results, which I find it can partially (if you are not so particular on high quality) but with cycle, it helps one aspect of the render that you will see at the last part of the video.

Anyway I hope this helps others who maybe interested specific to this topic.

Hi .. My hobby now is video editing and 3D related scene making. I had started this >16 months now on Blender and hope to contribute a little of what I learnt from this vast community as a return to what I had learn on those great and free tutorial around Blender use. I have a youtube video site that post everything (almost everything) I had learnt on Blender and relevant tools like GIMP, Inkscape, etc .. but had only started voice over/video tutorial recently. Appreciate feedback how I can make my tutorial easier to follow as it is not the same with other much better online tutorial. My youtube site: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwOSrEW-tqV4bhs3YAzBxTw/ Hope to continue to contribute where time permits .. as I am still working.
